Agreement and service scope

This agreement applies to the Lithe Reader app developed and operated by Lingyuan Huisheng Information Technology Co., Ltd. Read this agreement and the Privacy Policy before using the relevant features. Lithe Reader provides local ebook import, reading, organization, notes and supporting tools. Before using paid features, also read the prices and subscription terms on the App Store confirmation screen.

Content rights and acceptable use

You must have the necessary rights to import, recognize, copy, modify or export books, images and fonts, and are responsible for your use of them. The app grants no additional rights to those works. Do not distribute unlawful or infringing content, bypass DRM or security measures, attack service endpoints, abuse feedback submissions or infringe others’ rights. Recognition, read-aloud, search and text processing can produce errors or differences; check important results and keep original files.

Accounts and entitlement ownership

Protect your Apple Account, device and credentials, and use device management to remove suspicious sessions. Subscription entitlements are linked to the Lithe Reader account used for purchase; signing in to another Lithe Reader account does not transfer them. Do not lend or sell accounts or impersonate others.

Pro, automatic renewal and refunds

Pro is a monthly, quarterly or yearly auto-renewing subscription to enhanced local reading tools, not books or online content. Features, periods and prices are shown on the purchase and Apple confirmation screens, and Apple processes payment. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, it renews automatically; renewal charges are collected before the period ends under Apple’s rules. Manage or cancel in Apple subscription settings. Access normally continues until the paid period expires after cancellation. Apple reviews refund requests. Refunds, revocations and expiry may change access according to verified status. Deleting the app, signing out or closing your account does not cancel a subscription. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Local data, backups and transfers

Books and reading data are primarily stored locally; signing in is not a substitute for backups. Before changing devices, deleting the app, restoring a backup or batch processing, keep original files and export important data outside the app. Restoration replaces current books, notes and supported reading settings. Automatic backups can also be lost if the app is deleted or the device is damaged. Use a trusted local network for Wi-Fi transfer and protect the temporary address. You choose sharing destinations, cloud drives and receiving apps; their storage, disclosure and security rules apply.

Account closure and service termination

You may stop using the app or request closure in My Account. After Apple verification, signing in within seven days cancels the request. Registration after completed closure creates a new account without the former data or entitlements, and Apple subscriptions must be canceled separately. We may impose necessary lawful restrictions for unlawful, infringing or security-threatening conduct. Termination does not remove accrued payment obligations, dispute handling or rights and duties that remain effective by law.

Service changes

Files, OS versions, devices and third-party services may affect parsing, layout and speech; compatibility with every file or environment is not guaranteed. Report issues through Help and Feedback so we can investigate. Maintenance, system changes or legal requirements may require service changes; material changes affecting user rights will be explained appropriately. Minors should use the app with a guardian’s guidance and obtain any required guardian consent for payments.
